MMT Slideshow Presentation

Rationale

My multimodal presentation and translation involves the use of different types of media forms to convey the same message. These three forms of media all relay the same information which all come from the research which was used to create my RCA research essay. The other two types of media I used to show this research were a blog and a slideshow presentation. All three forms of media had the purpose of informing young people about the dangers of social media addiction and excessive social media use. The audience of my multimodal presentations are young people who use social media. In the process of my RCA research essay I had conducted research about social media addiction, and was working towards answering the question of how it impacts society. In this essay, I explained different topics within my research in different paragraphs throughout my essay. In my slideshow presentation, I used the information from my research essay to make slides where I explained a different topic on each slide. I was able to add visuals, such as images, to these slides which were relevant to the information on that slide. In making my blog I used the information from my research to create different blog posts for each topic. I chose to use a blog for my translation because I was able to make different posts to explain the different parts of my research. All three of these forms of my work with the multi modal translation and presentation ultimately allow me to effectively share my research with an audience with the same message but with different formats.
