Adichie – The Danger of a Single Story

Answer:

The main point of a this is that a single story can often times make someone see the story in the wrong perspective. A single story is not enough for one to understand the whole of a character as it may be misleading. This essay relates to the courses exploration with media and identity because it is hard to see someone’s true identity through a narrow window of media. A question I have about the information presented is what have we come across today taht are single stories and how often do we see them?

Encounters with Media

Perhaps it swayed you opinion on a topic, made you cry, made you rethink what you thought you knew, led you to take a particular action, or some other response that has made a real difference for you. Answer:

IG Post: If you give up, you are guaranteeing failure. Keep chasing your dreams and you will get everything you have desired. But it comes with a price, hard work and discipline are the answer. Don’t back down now. Keep Grinding.

Rhetorical Situation: The publisher reminding people of the dangers of giving up on a dream as it can prevent one from accomplishing their goals. The publisher is trying to say that the key to accomplishing these goals in hard work and discipline. The publisher is trying to keep people moving towards these dreams and to not go on the wrong path by just giving up when time are too hard.

Response: This post has encouraged me to keep working towards my goals and know that giving up is not an answer. This has motivated me mostly as an athlete but also life in general. This post has reminded me that I have to have consistency as I aim for my goals.
